Maintenance schedule

Periodically
- Check the shave plate and skid shoes for wear; replace when necessary
At least once a season or every 25 hours of operation
- Lubricate the gear (hex) shaft with a light coating of engine oil or 3-in-1 oil (keep oil off the aluminum drive plate and rubber friction wheel)
At least once a season
- Remove both wheels, clean and coat the axles with multipurpose automotive grease
- Remove the shear pins from the auger shaft and spray lubricant inside the shaft and around the spacers and flange bearings
Once a season
- Lubricate the chute directional control eye-bolt bushing and spiral with 3-in-1 oil
