| Lubricate the gear (hex) shaft with a light coating of engine oil or 3-in-1 oil (keep oil off the aluminum drive plate and rubber friction wheel) | At least once a season or every 25 hours of operation |

| Lubricate wheel axles (remove all four wheels, clean, coat axles with multipurpose automotive grease) | At least once a season |
| Lubricate the chute crank bracket bushing and spiral with 3-in-1 oil | Once a season |
| Remove the shear pins one at a time, spray lubricant inside each auger spiral hub and around the spacers; grease the flange bearings at each end of the auger shaft | At least once a season |
| Grease the auger gear case through its fitting with Shell Alvania lead-free grease (737-0168), vent plug removed | Once a season |
| Check shave plate and skid shoes for wear, replace when necessary | Periodically |
